About the artist:

Danielle Otrakji is a freelance illustrator and comic book artist currently located in Chicago, Illinois. Danielle is originally from Lebanon, and was raised in Florida where she focused her studies in illustration at Ringling College of Art and Design. She has produced artwork for several publications like, Inked Magazine, Radio Silence, and Strange Ways Magazine, as well as cover artwork for Jeremy Haun’s “The Beauty”, published by Image Comics, and contributed artwork to “The Memory Collectors”, created by 44 Flood and published by IDW Publishing. She recently worked on a self-published graphic novel titled, “Liberty: Deception Vol. 1” created by Travis Vengroff and published by John Dossinger Publishing. Along with cover artwork and sequential artwork for comics, Danielle takes a great interest in designing album covers and band merchandise, and recently worked with bands like, “Masked Intruder” and “Knocked Loose” signed to Pure Noise Records. Along with attending many comic book conventions in Florida, Philadelphia, Chicago and New York, she has been featured in several gallery exhibitions like Art Basel in Miami, the Ars Memoria’s Grand Opening Show in Chicago, Michael Hussar’s Portrait Exhibition in California, and Guido Crepax’s Valentina Tribute Show in Brooklyn, New York. Though her work is primarily executed in pencils and inks, Danielle also enjoys working in a variety of different mediums, which include pastels, watercolors, oil and acrylic paints and sculpture. Danielle’s work is especially revolved around the horror and sci-fi genres and mostly illustrates darker subject matter, however, also has a passion for drawing classic super-heroes and villains.
